What a Lady She Was!

Yesterday I attended a service celebrating Dr. Dennise Maslakowski's life. Wow...what a lady she was! Pancreatic cancer robbed us of a tremendous leader in the field of education. Dennise touched so many lives in so many ways. She was the one who inspired me to earn a Masters Degree in computer technology. Dennise did so much for the graduate program at PSU. She will be sorely missed, but will remain in our hearts forever.

  1. I can't agree more. It is so sad. Dennise was a lovely person and an inspiration to all who knew her. Her calmness and sweetness is what I will remember most.

  2. WOW...thanks for that message. Dennise was my Advisor at PSU and no one bothered to tell me. We had a good relationship. Dennise was someone who could be counted on to always remain professional and kind under the most adverse conditions. I am floored that no one in that office felt they needed to share that with her students. I guess they felt they knew who should be told and who shouldn't be. Dennise was my mentor for so many years. (I earned both my CAGS, my SPED cert, and am almost done with my ME.d...under Dennise's direction.) I hadn't heard from her for awhile and the office was very vague about her medical leave. I actually thought she might be having a baby. I am just shocked. She will be sadly missed...so young, so full of life...and so smart...such a shock.

  3. Thank you for posting this about Dennise. I did not know her as well as others, but she was always kind to me. My thoughts are with her family and friends...
